Crispy Air Fryer Gnocchi
If you’ve got an Air Fryer at home, you’ve got to try this recipe for Crispy Air Fryer Gnocchi! In just 15 minutes and without pre-cooking, the gnocchi become ultra-crispy on the outside and super soft on the inside.

Ingredients for Crispy Air Fryer Gnocchi
All you really need is gnocchi and a little oil, but I’ll show you my favorite recipe with a blend of spices and a secret ingredient that makes them ultra-tasty!
- Gnocchi: You can use fresh or vacuum-packed gnocchi. If you’re making homemade gnocchi using my recipe, be sure to blanch them for a few minutes, then dry them thoroughly before cooking in the Air Fryer.
- Olive oil: Although Air Fryer cooking doesn’t necessarily require oil, I recommend adding a little to make the gnocchi extra crispy.
- Grated Parmesan: My secret ingredient! It adds extra crunch and flavor. If you don’t like it, you can omit it and replace it with fine breadcrumbs.
- Smoked paprika: For a slightly smoky, spicy touch.
- Garlic powder and chilli: Garlic powder enhances flavor without blackening during cooking, and chili adds a slight touch of spiciness, if you like that.
You’ll find the exact quantities in the recipe card at the end of the article.

Preparing the Crispy Air Fryer Gnocchi
Preheat your Air Fryer to 400 °F (200°C) for a few minutes.
In a large bowl, mix the gnocchi with the grated Parmesan, smoked paprika, garlic powder, chilli powder, pinch of salt and olive oil.

Place the gnocchi in the basket of the Air Fryer, avoiding overlapping.
Bake for 15 minutes at 400 °F (200°C), shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even browning. The result? Ultra-crispy gnocchi on the outside, yet irresistibly soft on the inside.
Note: As with all Air Fryer recipes, be careful not to overload the basket – bake in two batches if necessary! Just before serving, you can reheat all the gnocchi together in one batch for 2 minutes to bring them back up to temperature.

How to serve your Air Fryer Gnocchi?
If, like me, you become a fan of this method for preparing gnocchi, you can adapt it to many recipes! Here are some ideas:
- With a pesto such as Walnut and Kale Pesto or Pistachio Pesto
- In a Tomato Sauce with Feta
- With a creamy Leek and Mushroom Sauce
- Sautéed with Mushrooms and Spinach
Tip: I also like to add these crispy gnocchi as a topping for a salad or a buddha bowl, like this Grilled Zucchini, Feta and Mint Salad or a Fig and Fresh Goat Cheese Salad.

These are sooo good! I just happened to have some gnocchi in the fridge and I made them as soon as I saw your email. I made them as a snack and served with sriracha mayo. I added a bit more parmesan as I like my food extra cheesy. 10/10
