Paris Food Guide
You love French food? Dreaming of traveling to Paris or already planning your trip? As a Parisian and professional cook, I can honestly say there’s no better city in the world for dining out! But so many friends return from Paris disappointed, saying they couldn’t find good places to eat, which makes me sad—there are incredible restaurants and talented chefs here, and it can even be budget-friendly!
That’s why I created this ebook: to help you discover the real flavors of the City of Light. You’ll find my favorite hidden gems, classic Parisian spots for dinner or a quick lunch, and the best bakeries for heavenly croissants. I’ve also included a few boutique hotels, top shopping streets, and some fun cooking classes. I hope you enjoy it and that it makes your Paris experience unforgettable!

What to expect

Bistro & Brasseries, Lunch, Restaurants
I have divided my restaurant tips into three categories: Bistrots & Brasseries, where you can enjoy the classic dishes of French cuisine at fair prices; lunch spots that are perfect for a quick and inexpensive lunch; and finally, a selection of modern restaurants that range from chic to simple – with chefs offering menus starting from €20 that will make you feel like you’re in a fine-dining restaurant. You’re sure to get your money’s worth!
Hotels
For this guide, I personally visited a hand-picked selection of around ten hotels. Some I already knew, others I really wanted to discover. Each hotel has been thoroughly tested to ensure that your stay will be comfortable and enjoyable. They all have their own unique charm!
Boulangeries & Cafés
I’m a big fan of croissants and even have my own recipe on my blog – so you can imagine I’m picky. Here I share my absolute favorite bakery for croissants, baguettes and flan pâtissier as well as a list of the best pâtisseries you should definitely try.
Cooking classes
If you love cooking as much as I do, you’ll love my selection of cooking classes. These courses will give you the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in Parisian gastronomy. A real must for foodies!
Shopping
Here you’ll find my favorite streets to stroll down and the boutiques where I buy most of my clothes. If you’re looking for typical Parisian chic, you’ll find it here
BONUS
At the end, you’ll find all my practical tips for a relaxed stay in Paris: from how to get around, safety and my favorite neighborhoods to the rules of etiquette in restaurants. So you can experience Paris like a real insider

More about this guide

Not touristy
I have selected addresses that are not touristy and that you won’t find in any other travel guide. Of course, there are 2 or 3 classics among them, but I recommend them because Parisians like to go there themselves! So you can be sure that you’ll never fall into a tourist trap again.
Easy to use
The guide is super handy. You can always have it with you on your phone while you’re exploring Paris. I’ve also created Google Maps lists for you that you can save so you can easily find all the addresses on the map. So you’ll be perfectly oriented!
Budget friendly
I have made sure to select not only fancy addresses, but also real insider tips where you can eat delicious food – with fresh ingredients and at fair prices. So you can enjoy Paris without breaking your budget.
