Pizza Bagels, an ideal recipe for kids!

The idea of making these Pizza Bagels came to me thanks to the project of the magazine Marmiton.org to develop some recipes for children.

I made some research on the internet. Then I came across a recipe for Pizza Bagels from the German blog Zimt, Zucker und Liebe which immediately caught my eye. After doing some tests and some modifications to adapt them to my taste, I offer you my recipe for Pizza Bagels!

Recipe for Pizza Bagels

For about 4 servings (2 pizza per person) you need the following ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 4 bagels
  • 1 mozzarella ball
  • 400 g canned whole tomatoes
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 24 black olives
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • Olive oil or chili oil

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.

Cut the bagels in half and toast them in the toaster so that they are slightly crispy. Be careful not to toast them too much.

Peel the garlic and onion. Then mix the tomatoes, garlic and onion. Add a little salt and pepper. Blend eveything together to obtain a tomato sauce.

Then, drain the mozzarella and squeeze it in your hands well to remove as much liquid as possible. Divide it into small pieces.

Spread a tablespoon of tomato sauce on each bagel half. Then, then place three pieces of mozzarella and three olives.

Place the pizza bagels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the oven for 7 to 10 minutes. Check the bgels after 6 minutes so that the don’t get burned. Pizza bagels are ready when the mozzarella has melted and begins to brown slightly.

Finally, add fresh basil leaves and a drizzle of olive oil or chili oil.

Note

You can of course add your favorite ingredients: mushrooms, ham, spinach, parmesan etc. Note that I added a little chili oil before serving!
