Equipment

  • Mandolin
  • Muffin pan

Ingredients

  • 1 puff pastry rectangular about 250 g
  • 3 apples
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of cane sugar optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 175 ° C (conventional heat).
  • Cut the apples into quarters and remove the seeds. Using a mandolin or a knife, cut the apple quarters into thin strips.
  • If you are using a mandolin, your apple slices should be quite flexible. If you know how to cut it with a knife and the strips are still too strong, place them in a bowl and add a teaspoon of cane sugar. Heat in the microwave for 30 to 45 seconds depending on thickness.
  • Mix the sugar and cinnamon.
  • Cut the puff pastry crosswise to obtain 6 rectangles of approximately 25 cm by 6 cm. Sprinkle each rectangle with cinnamon sugar.
  • Then place the apple slices along the dough. Fold the dough over the apples. Then roll up the dough on itself. Place 2 drops of water to stick the paste and that the rose sticks well. See how to make the apple roses step by step in pictures.
  • Place the apple roses in a pre-oiled muffin pan. You can also place them in muffin wrappers.
  • Bake for 20 minutes.
