Equipment

  • Glass mold, 25 x 21 cm
  • Ice cream or lollipop sticks

Ingredients

For the cake

  • 120 g flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 70 g sugar
  • Vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g of melted butter

For decoration

  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 100 g of milk chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 50 g white chocolate
  • Sugar pearls

Instructions

Step 1: The cake

  • Preheat your oven to 160 ° C (conventional heat).
  • In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, sugar. Add vanilla extract. Add the eggs and the melted butter.
  • Mix everything until you get a smooth paste.

Step 2: Baking

  • Pour the dough into a flat mold (about 25 cm by 21 cm) covered with baking paper. Adapt your mold size according to the amount of dough. Your dough should not be higher than 2-3 cm. Bake for 30 minutes.

Step 3: Cut the cake

  • Once the cake is cooked, let it cool for a few minutes or even 1 hour before cutting it.
  • Cut the cake in half lengthwise. Then cut small triangles to form your trees. Insert an ice cream stick into each tree.

Step 4: Decoration

  • Melt the dark chocolate, milk chocolate and coconut oil together. You can melt it in a water bath or in the microwave over very low heat. Stir well so that the two chocolates mix well. Melt the white chocolate separately.
  • Then dip your Christmas trees in dark chocolate, covering well all over. Pour a drop of chocolate and level with the ice cream stick, this will act as a glue once the chocolate has cooled.
  • Then decorate with white chocolate to form a garland. Place sugar balls to imitate your Christmas balls. Above all, decorate your trees right away before the chocolate hardens!
  • Once decorated, place your Christmas trees in the fridge for an hour.
