Grilled Cauliflower Steak with Orange Curry

If you follow my blog, you’ve probably already heard of Kraut und Korn! This week, I’m sharing an autumnal recipe for Roasted Cauliflower Steak with Orange Curry, made with one of my favorite Kraut und Korn spice blends: spicy orange curry.

For the cauliflower steaks

  • 1 cauliflower
  • 1 tablespoon spicy orange curry from Kraut und Korn
  • 60 ml olive oil

For the labneh

  • 150 g labneh or Greek yoghurt
  • 1 orange
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 5 sprigs of dill
  • 5 stems of parsley
  • 6 mint leaves


  • Wash the cauliflower and cut it into slices about 2 cm thick.
  • In a bowl, mix the orange curry and olive oil. Brush cauliflower steaks with orange curry oil.
  • Place the cauliflower steaks on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake at 200°C for 20 minutes. Turn the steaks over after 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, squeeze the juice from half the orange. Chop the parsley, dill and mint leaves.
  • Mix the labneh and orange juice. If using Greek yogurt, add a pinch of salt.
  • Place the labneh on a plate, add the herbs on top and a drizzle of olive oil. Place the cauliflower steaks on top. Add salt and pepper.


Cauliflower steaks can be eaten hot or cold. They are perfect as an appetizer or for a simple meal with toast.
