Kale, Goat Cheese and Hazelnut Toast
This is one of my favorite combinations with kale: Kale, Goat Cheese and Hazelnut! All on a toast is just perfect for a brunch, a quick meal or even for breakfast for those who like to start the day with a savory dish. Here is a recipe for my Kale, Goat Cheese and Hazelnut Toast.
Recipe for my Kale, Goat Cheese and Hazelnut Toast
For 2 servings you need the following ingredients:
Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread
- 1 bunch of kale
- 2 tablespoons of fresh goat cheese
- 1 handful of toasted hazelnuts
- Salt
- Pepper
- extra virgin olive oil
Preparation
The preparation of this toast is very simple and only takes 5 minutes!
Start by toasting your slices of bread. Spread with fresh goat cheese.
Wash and dry the kale. Cut it into pieces. In a pan, heat a little olive oil over medium heat. Add the kale.
The kale should not cook too long so that it stays crunchy.
Add the kale to the toast. Sprinkle with coarsely chopped toasted hazelnuts. Finally, add a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
How to vary this Kale, Goat Cheese and Hazelnut Toast recipe?
You can vary this recipe, here are some ideas:
- For those who don’t like goat cheese, replace it with cream cheese or the ricotta.
- If you try this recipe with ricotta, add some Parmesan cheese at the end.
- Add a poached egg on the whole.
