Vegan Bounty Bars (100% homemade)
Fancy a sweet and healthy snack at the same time? Do you like coconut and dark chocolate? So don’t wait any longer and try this recipe for Bounty Vegan Bars (100% homemade)!
Some time ago, I had already posted a recipe for Homemade Bounty with Dark Chocolate. It had already been a hit! This time, I reworked the recipe to make a vegan version. It is just as good as the first recipe, if not better!
Tips for making Vegan Bounty Bars
The recipe for homemade Bounty is simple, however I prefer to give you some tips to make sure you succeed!
- Choose quality ingredients: This Vegan Bounty recipe requires only a few ingredients (coconut milk, dark chocolate, grated coconut, coconut oil and agave syrup). However, be careful to use good ingredients, especially dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa) and coconut milk (at least 70% coconut and preferably without additives or thickeners).
- Use only the creamy part of the coconut milk: When you open a can of coconut milk, you will normally find a creamy layer on top and a liquid part on the bottom. For this recipe, only use the creamy part of the coconut milk, this will allow you to form your bounties more easily. The liquid part can be used for a smoothie.
- Let your Bounty rest well in the freezer before covering it with chocolate : The first step of the recipe is to form the base of Bounty with a mixture of coconut milk, grated coconut and agave syrup (or sugar). Once the coconut bars are formed, place them in the freezer for at least an hour. If your coconut bars are still too fragile, leave them for a few more minutes.
- Dip the coconut bars twice in the chocolate! This is my tip for making Homemade Bounty irresistible. After dipping the coconut bars the first time in the chocolate, I let the chocolate harden for about 20 minutes and I dip them a second time in the chocolate. Finally, I add a few dashes of chocolate for decoration.
After taking these tips into account, you are now ready for the 100% homemade Bounty Vegan recipe.
