I have to admit it, at home you will never find Nutella. However when I made my recipe for French Toast Rolls, I absolutely needed some Nutella or rather chocolate and hazelnut spread. So I decided to test several recipes and here is my favorite: Homemade Nutella with 4 ingredients and no bake!

Homemade Nutella, a healthier alternative!

Admittedly, this recipe is not quite light because it still contains a lot of sugar but this Homemade Nutella is really a healthier alternative. Nutella has about 80 calories for a 15g serving. This recipe has far fewer calories, at 64 calories for the same serving!

Homemade Nutella - 4 ingredients and no cooking!

For this homemade Nutella recipe, you only need 4 ingredients and no bake: sweetened condensed milk, ground hazelnuts, dark chocolate and a little butter. The advantage? You know exactly what you are eating!

In addition, you can adapt this recipe to your tastes: do you like Nutella strong in chocolate? Add more dark chocolate. Do you prefer the sweet and nutty side? Replace dark chocolate with milk chocolate.

Recipe for Homemade Nutella – 4 ingredients, no bake

For a jar of about 600 ml (50 servings for 15 g per serving) you need the following ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 400 g of sweetened condensed milk
  • 140 g ground hazelnuts
  • 120 g dark chocolate
  • 40g butter

Preparation

Melt the chocolate with the butter in the microwave on low power. (Note that for the video, I melted them separately but melting them together is easier).

In a bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk, the ground hazelnuts, the dark chocolate and the melted butter. Mix well.

Leave like this or for a finer texture mix everything using a blender. Pour into a closed jar.

Note

This homemade Nutella will keep for at least two weeks in the refrigerator. Take the Nutella out about 30 minutes before using it because it hardens a bit when kept cool. The ambient temperature will soften it a bit.
