How to prepare pan-fried gnocchi?

Making pan-fried gnocchi is very simple and is perfect for a quick meal.

First of all, you need gnocchi. You can either buy pre-cooked gnocchi (which is what I did for this recipe). If you have the time, I advise you to prepare your own gnocchi. You can find my recipe for homemade Gnocchi without equipment here.

Be careful, if you use pre-cooked gnocchi, it is necessary to cook them in water for 1-2 minutes before frying them.

Next, brown the gnocchi in a pan so that they are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I usually use olive oil to brown them.

To sauté the vegetables that accompany the gnocchi, I recommend you to sauté them separately and mix everything together at the last moment. To do this, I set my gnocchi aside on a plate and use the same pan to sauté my vegetables (in this case mushrooms and spinach for this recipe).

Then, before serving, I add the gnocchi to the pan and mix it well. This way the gnocchi will remain crispy.
